Portfolio
Below are highlights of select research, professional, and graduate studies projects to which I have been a primary contributor.
Current Projects
-
Automated Fuhrman Grading of Renal Carcinoma
Machine learning grading of histology images, with the goal of narrowing the gap between computer decision support systems and pathologists' domain expertise. Published in IEEE EMBC 2014.
-
Virtual Reality Interface Device
An as-yet unannounced virtual reality haptic interface device, still in early prototyping as a personal project with private funding.
-
Analysis of Metal Artifact Reduction in Spinal CT
A statistical analysis of metal artifact reduction algorithms in computed tomography x-rays of spinal implants.
Past Projects
-
Wind Speed Prediction
Predictive machine learning models of wind speed from a dataset spanning more than 20 years of hourly observations of dozens of environmental variables from hundreds of automated monitoring stations in support of a USDA Risk Management Agency grant project.
-
Large Touchscreen Digital Bulletin Board
Digital bulletin board for a custom, 102-inch multitouch display at the Georgia Gwinnett College Student Center. Included both a touchscreen UI with paper simulation and a web application for bulletin content creation.
-
Parallel Molecular Dynamics Simulation
A distributed memory parallel molecular dynamics simulation of micelle formation.
